Need input.....

Well as soon as i get the money i am having a 5inch RCD put on and some 37x13.5r16 tires. I am leaning towards these tires in order Mickey Thompson Claws, Pro Comp Xtreme AT, **** Cepek FCII, Pro Comp Xterrains, or Discoverer STT's. Anybody got any experience with these tires? Expected tread life, noise level, and overall performance. Any input is appreciated. I know I have posted like this before, but i want some solid answers, because this is alot of money to spend. Wanna get the best.

My buddy at work has the FCII's and absolutely loves them. Previously had a set of BFG AT's and won't go back to them after trying out the FCII's. He has 15,000 miles on his now and they still look brand new and a wearing perfectly. Noise is very minimal, won't notice with the radio on. Don't know about the others first-hand.

You have VERY mild ATs in there with some VERY aggressive MTs. What do you want from your tires in the way of looks / performance? Narrow it down to a tire category before selecting a specific model...

If I were going for the options you list, let's say we are talking in a 17" wheel to fit my truck, and I had the lift... I would definately go for the Cooper... They make a REALLY good tire...

Actually, all of the tires he listed are manufactured by Cooper Tire so the quality should be similar.

No expierence with the claws ive heard good things. but if you like the directional tread look go with the Procomp Xterrains they get great traction and last quite awhile, my dad had these on his 05 Dodge Power Wagon and he got 55K and that is a heavy truck alittle more wieght then the standard 2500 4x4. Plus directional tread looks amazing!

Kieth keep in mind if you go with a directional tire your rotating options are limited.. (i think) and if you need to back out of a sticky situation offroad it will be extremely difficult! im not saying impossible but you wont have near as much traction! id say go with the Cooper Discover STT. my uncle has them and loves them they last pretty long!

i have the fcII's on my truck and i love them. they are very quiet. i only have about 3k miles on mine but they still look new. they say you should get around 50k on them. they have done well so far this winter on the snow and ice. the coopers and the extreme at are both good tires that last a while. the claws and the xterrains are more aggressive but dont last nearly as long a friend of mine only got 20K on his claws. keith where are you at in illinois?

To the poster that mentioned Bighorns. They aren't made in 37s are they?

The Cooper Discoverer STT is a great tire. Never heard a complaint about them... And they look killer.
