I just put 33x12.50r20 cooper stt's on my F-150 friday, so i cant say anything yet as far as mileage goes but i will say they are quieter and a little harder compound than the toyo's and look almost identical other than the outer lugs. As far as price there there was not a Huge diference between the two 320 for the toyo and 279 for the stt. I went w/ the stt just to give it a try.
Wow, they do look pretty similar.

I'm running the 35in Toyo MT's. I love them They are as smooth as stock tires, BUT they do give off a little hum on the highway. I've only had them for 600miles now. I don't know how much the coopers are running but I found a great deal on the Toyo's at $1080 out the door (not installed). It's a heavy tire at 81lbs, but that should get quite a few miles out of them.

ive read complaints about the Toyos performance in the mud! they seem to cake up and not clean very well!

I love the Coopers STT and ive never read a bad thing about them!

Im sure the TOYOS will get slightly better mileage but for the cost of poor offroad performance!

I got them at discount tires in Ocala, Florida. I called about 50 different places and most of them quoted me around $330-350 per tire. Online there were a couple places that offered them for $297, but I'm a little cautious of buying big stuff like that online, plus I wanted the road hazard warranty on them. Even the other discount tire stores quoted me that high, but for some reason the one in Ocala got them to me for that cheap. I made sure they were the 2007 made ones and did not have any flat spots.

I do MOSTLY on-road driving, but do go play in the mud and sand every now and then and so far the Toyo's have not let me down. Plus as the picture shows above the tread is almost exactly the same. I'm no "hard-core" mudder like some on here, but when my Toyo's still have tread on them in 40,000 miles I'll be appreicative that I got them. I'm not telling you to go either tire, but just my $.02 I like the Toyo's better. If you are a hard-core mudder then I do suggest that you get some different tires....ie:swampers, nittos, Mickey T's, etc. that have been rated very high in the mud.

Coopers or Toyo's in Alaska

Hey,
So I live in Alaska, I don't have any 'highways' here, our fastest speed limit is 55 mph. We get snow and A LOT of rain. I don't really go muddin' but I do go off road from time to time. I want the ones that will preform the best in all area's and not HUM.

I wouldn't say the do bad off road, I have them on my 99 f150 2 door long bed 4x4 and they do great on road wet or dry and they do good in the mud, not like a bogger or nothing but they did good for me down at down south off road park in crosby tx. And they at 50 or more psi always for me. My friend has the cooper stt 33x12.50r18 on his 03 f250 and loves them. Iv seen them in action and I was suprised. Mine are Toyo mt 315/75r16 which = 35x12.50r16. I have 7 ply tred and 3 ply side wall. Either way my opinion they both look sick and are a good tire.

I would assume the OP already made his choice, this thread is over 3 years old.
