Cross drilled and slotted

I will say waste of dough. You have a good sized truck, slotted and cross drilled rotors are actually weakening the rotor. People will say they help you stop along with expensive pads, but if you want to stop better, get a larger rotor kit and larger caliper, Brembo kits for example for 2 grand +or-.
This is just my opinion mind you, I'm not going to buy all that stuff to find out they stop no different than OE replacement stuff. All I care about is no worse than stock brakes, no dust and especially no friggin noise. Carquest stuff keeps money in my pocket and gives me good parts. Brakes are the least of my worries.

I have drilled and slotted rotors and they are worth every penny! They disperse heat far better than crap OEM rotors. My 02 F150 stops better and my rotors haven't warped at all. I replaced my first set of front OEM rotors and they warped within 15K miles!
Keep in mind I am referring to the 97-03 model year F150 trucks. Trucks made during that span of time had horrible brakes on them.
By the way, you can get drilled slotted rotors on ebay for less than OEM crap rotors.

Definately go with drilled/slotted. They help 'vent' the gases/dust away from the pad to rotor surface. They'll greatly improve stopping distance and life of your brakes.
Power Stops and/or even the Summit Racing brand are good choices. Just make sure you get L and R sides rotors, and a set of pads to go with the new rotors. Hawk Performance Ceramics or EBC's.
You'll notice the difference. Especially the first time some blonde pulls out in front of you.

Patrick,
Check out R1 Concepts on ebay. I purchased my rotors here and they have not even began to rust yet. I believe there is some kind of zinc coating on these rotors.

These guys stand behind their brakes.

When ordering drilled/slotted rotors be VERY careful of where you are buying them. Some rotor material is not made to be drilled, and companies are drilling them anyways. This leads to rotor failure and can cause cracks.
For braking, it all depends on how much you want to spend, Brembo kits can be upwards of 3g's or you could do some Centric pads and Powerslot rotos for a few hundred. I would stay away from the ebay brake parts because you never really know what you are getting.
