23s, 2/4 drop. tires?

May get a good deal on some Saleen 23s. The Only tires I can find are 305/40/23s. Anybody know of a shorter tire?

P.S. I did find some Yokohama Parada Spec-x - 285/35/23. Seems to be about the size I need. Any comments on that tire?

Final Edit: Visited Saleen website. They're running 305/40/23s and lowered about 2.5". Should be good to go - unless someone else has comments?

That's the only problem with 23's, tire choices are very limited. Are you just lowering the rear? If you are, I'd go with the 305's.

I am doing a 2/4 drop. I'm trying to decide on these wheels. I can get wheels and tires for 1100. Pretty darn good deal. OR, I can stick with my original plan and pick up stocker 20s with tires for 800$.

Hard choice to make.

Man, that's a pretty good price on those rims and tires. I'm sending you a PM.

I know, old post... 305/40/23 would be a big step up from a stock size tire...if my calculations are correct...about 2".... 265/60/18 to the 305/40/23.... so the 285/35/23 would be aboue the same size as stock.

The 305 size is about 32.5"... I'd hate to have to get a Programmer or something to correct my speedo...

(Note: This post is just me talking to myself really. ha)

the stock tire size is 285/65/18...going with the 305/40/23 is about .4" or something taller than that stock tires
