I have to comment on the BFG- AT's...Very good tire! Have been one of the best riding, handling tires I've owned. Im being stupid and replacing my 50k mile BFG's for an less reliable and noisier mud grappler just for looks and better offroad handling. Guess im stubborn, but gotta try it. But would recommend these BFG's to anyone. I abused these tires, and stll made it to 50k. Ford made a good choise using these, get compliments on these still. I also really like the whitewall look on my truck, makes the tire stand out. I dont think the nitto offers that, not 100%, but might be something else you take into comsideration. Good luck....

BFG do have awsome all weather traction, it is amazing to me how well they go in the rain. My truck had Goodyear RTS and they sucked at everything.
Just wondering, where exactly did you "hear" this from. Anyway, the BFG are a great tire, along with the Nittos. Basically I think it would boil down to which one you think looks better, and what size you want. I went with Nitto because they had them in 295/70/17. I had BFG on my ranger 4x4 and they were a good tire, but I cant tell a difference between them and the nittos off road. Neither one of them will handle mud all that great. As far as noise, once again I can not tell a difference. Good luck with your choice.

I have had terra Grapplers on my truck for 38K and they still have at least 10k in them. I love them, great all around tire....for me. Havent tried them for mudding, but for on road, trail riding, and driving in the snow they are great. I have the 285/65/18 on mine. Never had the BFG's but I know some guys who swear by them. So good luck in your decision. Either way I dont think you will go wrong.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your comments! I ended up ordering the Nitto's. I've had 4 sets of BFG's and figure I'll give the Nitto Terra Grapplers a shot. You can't beat the price!

I have both-

I have BFG A/Ts on the wifes explorer and my ranger. I have the 325x60x18 Nitto Terras on my F-150. Both are awesome tires and they both wear excellent! I have about 42K on the Nittos and the tread still looks great. With that being said, i am selling the Nittos to a friend to put on his f150 next week since i am going up in size.

I can not comment though on the either tire in the mud, since all these truck are only on the street. BFGs are great in the snow, never had the Nittos in snow though.

I am still trying to decide if my next tires on the f-150 will be nittos or bfgs... I just personally like the look of the bfg better, but the price sucks. For the $ the nittos are fantastic!

Whats the largest size nitto makes for a stock 18" wheel. I currently run 35x12.5x18 dynapro mt's.

if you deal with snow, then the bfg's. they bite a lot better for stopping and acceleration. my friend has 01 screw with 305s and slides everywhere, it has to be in 4wd or its useless. ive driven it, its not how its being driven, i have less weight and keep it in 2 wheel peel nearly all the time in my 98. just my .02

i dont have limited slip either.
