I thought I'd let you know. Today I put 33x12.50xR18 on my 4x2, my rims only 7.5 inches wide, and I have a 2.5" leveling kit. There is no rubbing at all. I'm sure you'll be fine.

WOW! That is really good to know. Thanks so much for the positive news, and your ride looks really 'bad' (in a good way) w/those 33's on them. And on a 4x2 at that! Man, you really lucked out! Good job!

But since I've sold my stock tire/wheel setup, now I wonder if I'm gonna run into trouble trying to find a wheel that isn't too wide...

As long as the rim is at 9" or under, I should be okay, right?

Yeah pretty much. It all depends on the offset you end up getting on the wheels.

Exclamation

I went on an online tire sizer and I calculated the size of my 305-70 R 17x7.5, and the offset for these was 10 mm (.4") and the backspacing was 4.6....My question to anyone who is willing to answer is; will by 04 fx4 stock 17 with a 2 inch lift fit these?

Well yeah, and that is where another point of confusion comes in at...what type of offset should I be looking for...I mean, what number range should it be? Backspacing and offset really throw me for a loop.

Why are you making it so much harder, just buy the 2.5 leveling kit?
