Choose a tire for me!

I am getting these wheels in 18"x9"

But need your help selecting a tire that is 33" tall, A/T, and dont want a real fat tire but enough to make sure it fits the wheel correctly.... I am not brand specific

I was told by a tire salesman that the 285/65/18 tires would be too skinny for a 9" wide wheel......... Is this true? Should I go wider? What other size 33" tall tires would you suggest?

Most tire manufacturers approve 285mm wide tires for 9 inch wide wheels. I ran 285's on 10 inch wide wheels for almost 60,000 miles with no problems. You could also go with a 33x12.50-18 tire.

If you plan on leveling your truck, a 325x60x18 would look great. Also a 305x65x18 would also look great, close to 34 inches tall.
