Exclamation Weird Tire Question

I have seen many trucks on this website where the tires stick out just a little. I was wondering how you do that if you are going to use stock rims. Thanks for your help!!

You can't. You need aftermarket wheels with less than 5.5" backspacing and/or greater than 7.5" width. The look you're referring to usually comes form a combination of the two. A 9" wide wheel with 4.5" backspacing will stick out 2.5" farther than your stock wheels.

Is backspacing bad for the truck in any way?

Backspacing is just a measurement. It's the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel (where it bolts to the hub) to it's rear lip.

Tires sticking too far out the wheelwells will destroy the sides of your truck if you go down any gravel road's. Also I find keeping the tires and wheels tucked in the wheelwells keep's them closer to the suspension and gives a little better control over the vehicle. Just my 2 cent's!
