Open Country AT

i was wondering if anyone has had the open county ats. I like the look of the terra grappler better but they dont make it in the size i wanted. im looking for a tire that does good in the sand and is not too noisy on the road. i found the open country in a 285/75/18 for 219.00 a tire. does anyone have any experience with these tires? i would mount them on stock rims and a 2inch leveling kit

I have a set of 285x70x17 on a spare set of wheels, I had them on my truck for about 9k miles. I took them off to put on some larger BFG's. The Toyo's will do just about everything my BFG's can do. My only knock against them is that they ride a little rougher than my BFG's and the sidewall is not too aggressive looking. Toyo makes Nitto tires and the tread pattern on the AT's is real close to the Terra Grapplers. They are great tires and mine show almost no sign's of wear at 9k miles.

On a leveled 4x4 a 305x65x18 will fit, this is close to a 34" tire.

The Toyo AT and Nitto Terra Grappler are basically the same tire. They are even made in the same plant.
