Opinions for new forum member....

I have 06 SCrewXLT. I want to upgrade from the stock 255/17's.Possibly 285/65/18's on the stock wheels from an FX4.((I like these wheels as much as a lot of customs I see)) I was thinking Michelin LTX A/T 2 285/65-18"s. Does anyone have these tires? Also would these look better on my truck after installing a 2" leveling kit? If anyone wants to post some pix of this setup that would be awesome. Any input is appreciated. Thanx

I have basically the same truck is you and I also upgraded to factory 18's. I went with the Chrome Lariat wheels though. I installed the 2" level kit but i'm waiting on these tires to wear down before I order some new ones. I'm going with either the BFG A/T in a 285/65/18 or Mickey Thompson ATZ's in a 305/60/18. I don't know of anyone running the Michelin's. You can also get the Nitto Terra Grapplers in that size too. You can see my pics to see how your truck will look with the 2" level kit.

Thanks, but I'm gonna try to find some locally to avoid paying big shipping. (I'm out in Southern Commie-fornia )

They will fit fine. Personally, I'd go with the BFG AT KO's or Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Thanks a lot for the reply. How are the tires you mentioned on the freeway? I do quite a bit of freeway driving in CA and want to avoid having one of those trucks that sounds like a Blackhawk helicopter is driving by! I want my truck to look a little more stout, but I also like the smooth quiet ride. Thanks again

Both are excellent on pavement. The Nitto's are almost silent.

Thanks for the input, Wandell. I am a new member but I have read enough wheel and tire posts to know that you are an expert. I like the price of the Nittos but they offer only a black sidewall. It is my plan to black-out some FX4 wheels and then run my tires with the white out to offer some visual contrast. My q is: are the BFG A/T KO's pretty quiet on the freeway as well? If not is there another tire you can recommend?? Thanx again, I really appreciate your help

The BfG's are pretty quiet.
