here I think this may be the site he was refering to. I did not do much searching but you may be able to find cheaper. just google nitto tires discount, and check the prices of the sites that come up.

this place has good prices on rims. they also have the cheapest on those nittos as well. they do free shipping on rims but I do not think they do free shipping on tires.

I called Discount Tires Direct. Their number is 1-800-589-6789 ext 1861 is the sales rep named Ryan who helped me. The tires were 181.00 a piece but they had a 50.00 coupon when you bought 4. I also got free shipping to my door via UPS, I ordered Friday and got the tires Monday afternoon. Total for all four was 674.00 delivered. I had them mounted today and like them so far. I got the 285/60/18 Terra Grapplers A/t's. I paid 45.00 to mount and balance at one of my local tire shops.

Blang - I will be ordering the same tires and size in the next couple of days, hopefully I get the same price. Do you have any pics?
Also - looking on the Nitto website, they have two tires listed for Terra Grapplers in a 285/60/18: One is E rated (#200-880) with a 15.6/32" tread depth and the other is not E rated (#200-410) with only a 13.1/32" tread depth. Do you know which one Discount is selling because it doesn't say on their website. I have a feeling it is the non E-rated one.

just curious. I never looked at shipping prices. but those links I gave you are for better prices than that. they were at $165 per tire and one site was $160.
shipping is where they get you sometimes. those nittos are so much cheaper than my bfg's. maybe my next set might be nittos. but last week I pulled the trigger on some more bfg's I guess I just like the looks of the bfg's and also they are built vary heavy duty and are severe snow rated tire. I will have to see if after I wear these tires down that I am still hooked on them so much that the cheaper nittos don't win me over. senc people seem pretty happy with them and seem to get the same or more miles out of them. I might just switch over someday.
