Grappler not so good!!

Had a customer where I work who had 37X13.50/18's and he was not overly impressed with his Grapplers. Said he was afraid to make a roughly 500mile trip because it would take too much outa his tires. He had 15-20K miles and tires were well worn. Upgraded to 22.5" American Force Wheel with Sumitomo driveng tires. Huge $$ though, but should get 200K miles outa those.

Do search. Looks like tread life is anywhere from 15-30k.

If you keep them rotated every oil change you should get at least 20k out of them.

Basically, they are extremely loud and wear quickly.

The life of the Toyo's is about the same as the Cooper's that I have and that is 40k (and some have been getting more than that).

For look's and offroading in muddy area's, great tires. Maybe not the best choice for the highway though. I would have to think hard about putting them on a daily driver.

Everything I have heard has said they are great for the mud, but the mud only, definitely not the road. Sure they will look tough as hell, but if you are doing lots of road time, I would not recommend it.
