Biggest tires on OEM 20's?

Does anyone know how big of tires can I put on my OEM 20's without rubbing?

I'm thinking for some Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I'm running 305/55/20's which are 12" wide. I have the oem 20's and they do rub slightly. The height is not a problem at all (33.2") its a combo of the offset of the rim and the width of the tire that causes the rub. I'm not sure about the tallest tire you can run but if you do not want any rubbing with oem 20's you will have to stay under 12" wide.

Yep, you can fit up to a 35x12.50 on a 4x4 with a leveling kit.

BFG makes a 285/65/20 about 35 inches high and almost 12 inches wide the tallest and widest tire you can fit with NO rubbing. several guys are running them on here.

Yep, 34.6" tall and 11.2" wide when one converts the metric #'s. For a leveled 4x4, this tire is hard to beat. My next set will likely be these unless I swap my buddy for his 18" FX4 wheels.

That Nitto tire would be a great fit. I have the same size, only in a GY AT/S and it works great in every aspect. ZERO rubbing, good width on the 8.5" wheel, and performs well for what I do. That said, my next tire will be a bit more aggressive. I like the look of sidewalls that have lugs on them.

325/60/20 bfg a/t is what I have, but if I could go back I would have saved myself somemoney and gone with the 285/65/20, b/c you can save around 100 a tire and they are not much smaller, but do I regret the decision I made????

How's the rubbing on those? I'd assume you rub even before you turn the wheel to full lock, no?

I only rub at full lock, of course I did a little trimming, but well worth it, and once you figure out where full lock is youll never rub, I have not rubbed in months, b/c I know the limits

Where did you have to trim? The front air dam? The rear of the fender flares under the mirrors? Both?

Thanks for the info.
