285 65 or 285 60's on stock fx4 18's

what would be better as far being closer to factory, i'm going for a little more width, and the nittos come in both sizes? thanks for the help.

Check the spec's

Most tire manufacturers will have all of the specifications for there tires. What you are looking for is the tire height and width specifications. If I remember correctly your stock tire is a 32" diameter. The 285/65 I think will have a diameter of 33" and the 285/60 should be around the 32" mark. Dont' quote me on as I am going off memory. Just check the tire mfg's website to be sure.

If you are looking for width both tires you mentioned are the same width. The differance is the height on those tires. Both will work on your wheel. The first # is the width of your tire and the second # is the percentage of the width for the total height of the tire.Third is the wheel size it fits.
285 / 65 / 18

thanks 4 the info, ill try to get some pics on here soon, i'm going to wax and clean the truck today, since i'm laid off from Ford this week, plenty of time to nit pick the truck.
