Need help with rims

Need help with rims

I have an 06 F150 2wd with a leveling kit. And Im looking at getting some Pro Comp 17x9 6 on 135 with -6mm offset and 4.75 backspacing. Would this stick out too much on 285/70/17? I need new tires and I figured to look at wheels as well. Thanks for the help!

it depends what you call too much. that rim will stick out 2.25 further than the stock rim. for me that would be a little too much. for some that would be just perfect. it is just a matter of taste. I am not sure how wide your stock tire is but with the 285's being a little wider. you shoule be able to go out and measure out from your stock tire about 2.5 to 2.75 depending on how wide the stock tire is and picture how far they will stick out. I would think about an inch past your fender but that is a guess.

I guess I should have said how much too "much" is. I dont want it sticking out past 3 inches thats a little much. I just wanted to make sure I had the spacing right. to where I buy a rim and it sticks out like it should be on an 8 inch lift. thanks for the help

also would a 17x8 work out better and maybe not be out so much with only 4.5 bs and 00mm?

yes that would stick out about 3/4 inch less than the previously mentioned rim. should not stick out much at all. maybe a little .
