I've read on here a few times where people were able to stuff a 35 in the spare location. It might interfere with your exhaust though. Why not cut a cardboard template and see if it fits up there?

Great idea. I know a 35 will fit in the stock spare location on the 97-03's but I don't know about the 04-08's.

Any problems with goin with a 33" spare while running 35's? Aslong as you don't have a flat when you need 4wd you can always finagle things around so the spare is on the front if your rear end carrier would cause binding with a smaller tire. Would that work?

For the sake of cheapness and maybe a little weight savings I was thinking about getting a nice skinny 33" to use as a spare.

see i thought about doing a smaller spare but then it will trigger the abs light because the wheel speed sensors will read different speeds from one to the other.i didnt think of the cardboard idea though thats good.im going to try tommorow ill let you guys know.im not concerned about exhaust i have mine dumped but im concerned about the hitch.thanks

have you thought about climbing under your truck with a tape measure?
