What will stick out less?
Ok here's the basics: 2008 F-150, 4x4, 2" AS.

I'm looking at a 17x9 with a 4.75in backspace or a 17x8 with a 4.5in backspace. Which one will stick out less?

From stock rim specs - if 17 or 18's (not 20's) 7.5'' wide w/5.5'' bs

The 17x8 will stick out less.

17x8 - stick out 1.5''
17x9 - stick out 2.25''
