Durm to Disk Questions

Hello,
I have a 97 with 9-3/4" rear end.
I have found kits for the 8.8 rear.
Does the axle flange on a 97 9-3/4" rear have the same bolt pattern as a 8.8?
I know that the 99 and newer have a larger pattern than the 97/98's.
When ford swiched to 14mm wheel studs the also used a larger wheel bering.
Does anybody know if it will fit a 97/98 9-3/4 Rear end?
Check out this kit from Ford for a 8.8 rear.

I am suprised that nobody know the flange bolt pattern for a 97/98 9-3/4" rear end.
I was hoping somebody did.
I did not want to pull it a part just to check and then put it back together
and see if I could locate the parts.
Maybe I should just keep the drum brakes.

There are three types of bolt flanges

There is a very good chance that I have the one you want,
I stripped off a complete disk brake system to put on my 97 F150 8.8 it's a no go. The bolt pattern on my rear is a 8.8 pattern, the disk brake setup I have is the pre 99 large Ford. Supposably sometime in 99 that was changed to a new large Ford pattern.

Get under your truck and see if you can measure from the back side of the backing plate the bolt pattern, both side to side and up and down. Maybe the set up I have is the one you need. I have everything, Incl. the E brake cables.

By the way, that set up you linked is no good for you, wrong lug pattern, too small. That is for a Mustang ,If a mustang pattern was the same as ours, I'd be stripping the rear disk brakes off an Explorer.

It would be a good idea to email me,

I just ordered my disc brake swap kit from these guys http://www.tsmmfg.com/2530M.htm the kit look pretty good I think, I really wanted to use a factory setup but after comparing my '98 axle flange bolt pattern to a buddy's 2002 bolt pattern they didn't seem to macth up so at least this way it's a guaranteed fit
