Tire Choices

I am in quite a quandary here. I thought I wanted the KM2’s, but now I am unsure. The more I read about them, the more I don’t think I want them. The reasons being; that they don’t balance well and that no one is sure of tread life.

I would like your honest no bull**** opinions/experiences on what tires I should be looking at. I want/would prefer a mud terrain tire. 35x12.50x18. I am now looking at the Open Country Mud Terrains, Hankook M/T’s, KM2’s or the BFG All-Terrains.

Also, these tires will be on my daily driver with limited time off-road. I mainly want a mud tire for hunting situations from muddy goose fields to rutted up truck trails in the deer woods.

Thanks

All of those are good choices, along with the Toyo MT, Pro Comp Xtreme MT and Mickey Thompson MTZ.

I would go with with either the KM2's or the Toyo's. I have the KM2's and its an awesome tire all around.

How well do the KM2's hold a balance? How are their road manners? How many miles do you have on them? THanks.

Ive never heard on anyone having problems balancing them and with proper rotation you could get 40K+ out of a set of BFG KM2's.

Every tire you listed is a great tire.. also look at Cooper STT, Mickey Thompson MTZ, ProComp Extreme MT, Toyo MT, Super Swamper Irok Radial...

Stick with me super swampers arent known for mileage but with proper inflation and rotations they can easily reach 40k. My dad has em on his truck they have 35k and they are almost to the wear bars. His truck is also much heavier than a F150.

I vote BFG's for sure. I love them in the mud, they pull excellently. Have seen a set of KM's go 50,000mi on a half-ton. DOnt' have any background with the KM2's though. I am interested to see what people say and to see what you choose.

I love BFG A/Ts and have had seevral sets on several different trucks.

I just put a set of 35" Toyo M/Ts on my f-150 and although i only have about 100 miles on them, I cant believe how smooth they ride and how quiet they are! So far i am loving them. No problems balancing them either.

No problems with balance. They are very quiet on the road for having such an aggressive tread, I only have about 500 miles on them. They handle extremely well offroad or at least in sand cause all I have around here are dunes.

I highly recommend them.
