Are any of these tires any good?

I have about 48,000 miles on my '06 F-150, and it is finally time to get rid of those horrible Generals they have on there. I have been looking forward to this for some time. I have done some shopping around and it is amazing to see how quick prices drop after you shop store against store. So far, here are the best prices I have gotten (all are 265/70R17):
  • Goodyear Wrangler RTS - $530
  • Toyo Open Country AT - $507
  • Yokohoma Geolander HTS - $507

Are any of these any good? Of the three, which would you pick?

Thanks!

Yep. And the Yokohoma and Wranglers include a hazzard warranty, so I assume I can get the dealer with the Toyos to toss that in as well.

Are these places local to you or online? I got a quote of over a thousand for 295/70/17's and that is local.

I would stay away from the Goodyear RTS, have heard nothing good about them. If it was the AT/S, have had those with no problem. Can't give you info on the others.

Local prices. Just had to have a ton of conversations back and forth with dealers, were honest with what each had to offer and this is where I netted out. I can look at other tires too if there are some that are way better, but not too much more per tire.

The Toyo is the best of the lot that you have listed.

The Toyo's are one of the best all terrian tires available. The Wrangler RT/S is a terrible tire. Not sure about the other.

I wholely agree with the others on the RTS's they are a horribly cheap tire and poor handling one. I was glad to get rid of mine. Agree with the others that the Toyo's are the best choice of the ones you have listed...read great reviews on them. good luck

So it is looking like the Toyos are the clear winner.

Are the Yoko's a crappy tire? Went to get the Toyos and the tire place is screwing me around now.
