What size tires/rims?
Alright so I just picked up my new 2008 STX SuperCab last week b/c I go trackdays alot with my Yammie R6 and needed a truck to haul the gear and the bike in.
Anyways I opted for the 4x2 option since the 4x4 was a little out of my budget. Im not looking to put a big lift on the truck but do want the all terrain 33 tires on it with maybe an 18 wheel. I know people say its stupid for a 4x2 but I was wandering if i could make it work with either leaving the suspension stock or maybe adding a 2" leveling kit?
This is pretty much the look im wanting, as you guys prob know, thanks in advance! i know the rims in this pic are 18's but i dont know what size the tires are

Hello MindTrip....
Welcome aboard :-)
You said > Im not looking to put a big lift on the truck but do want the all terrain 33 tires on it with maybe an 18 wheel. I know people say its stupid for a 4x2 but I was wandering if i could make it work with either leaving the suspension stock or maybe adding a 2" leveling kit? <
Actually, not stupid at all. You will find lots of company here who have 2wd's and are going for the exact same more rugged, all terrain look that you are.... In fact, that includes myself, just as soon as my brand spankin' new F150 XLT arrives in a couple more weeks :-)
I'm goin with Bilstein adjustable height gas shocks, to both improve my ride, and give me however much lift I need for a nice leveling at the same time. Kind of pricey (about $300 a pair ! Yikes !)
Oh BTW, have you looked at the price difference between tires for 17" wheels, as opposed to those for 18"s ??? The wheel price difference is not usually too big (plus, that's a 1 time thing) but the tires for 18" are quite a bit more.... and that could be every 40 to 70K miles ! {for me, every 2 years}.
I think the 17"s with lots of rubber (as long as its fat, aggressive looking rubber ;-) looks just as good as 18"s anyway (very little difference actually).
Peace,
Fish
