33", or 35"??

Howdy fellas! Well currently on the truck I have 35/12.5 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I will more than likely be getting stationed in Cali (o' de joy when gas Prices attack!) And when I do I will be making the trip in my truck. Now when I get there I will be replacing the tires, and rims for some nice after-markets. Now my question is would getting a set of 33/12.5 effect my gas milage at all? Or would the change in 2" make no difference what so ever? I want to set a wider stance and will probably get a wider tire next time anyway, with a different offset rim (wandell i'll be askin' for you later on) but was just wondering what kind of difference it will make?
Thanks a lot!

you may notice an extra 1-3mpg with the 33 inch and some better acceleration, also if your suspension remains almost stock you will have more offroad capability with the smaller tire. if you have a lift and dont mind the very small decrease in acceleration/gas mileage stick with the 35's, the look is much nicer with them.

I think the difference in MPG's would be minimal.

Hey Zambonimax....

You could always go with 34"s :-) I am..... BFG AT 305/65-18"s....

Peace,
Fish

PS, if you did go with 33"s, and saw practically no MPG increase, that would sure make me want to go with 35"s.... if I were going to see no "decrease" :-)

Outstanding thanks fellas for the replies! I will be taking the little to no change to heart, as I love my 35's and would mind a set of mud-grapplers. It all depends I guess. Thanks again!
