Question Final Fit question before purchase

Wandell, Please verify I have this right before I Spend $$$$$$$ on my new setup as Im now ready to spend. My CFO or chief financial officer aka the wife has given me the green light. I have an 06 4x4 F-150 supercab, and i installed the 3" leveling kit. I want to order procomp 6001 rims, 6 x 135, with 4.5 backspace in a 17". and I want to fit a 35 x 12.5 x 17 tire. Id like to not have to cut any plastic and have no rubbing. Ill be runing a A/T tire. Does this sound correct??

Hey Trizzot.....

I'm sorry to get off topic here, but I figure you and the guys might get a kick out of this true story....

You reminded me of this when you said
My CFO or chief financial officer aka the wife has given me the green light.
Okay, so I used to work at a lumber yard. One day a guy comes in, and is talking to a salesman about purchasing enough lumber for a nice sized deck. {they are close enough that several of us lumber grunts could easily hear them}. So the salesman gives him a price. "Hmmmmm", the guy says, as he contemplates the deal. Finally he tells the dealer, "Well, I should probably talk to financial adviser (wife) first.... cuz I gotta' live with her too".
So, without thinking, the salesman tells the guy, "Well, I'm going to be here all day, so if you want, why don't you drop by the house, pick up the wife, and bring her back by, so we can '****er'...... ! DOH ! He didn't just say that ! .... uh, yes he did :-) And you should have seen the look on both the salesman, and the customers face ! Priceless ! :-)

Anyway, that's my funny story for the day,
Back to your question.......

Peace,
Fish

With 4.5" backspace a 33" is the biggest I think you can go. That is what I have and I have to trim some plastic.

You can fit a 35 with a backspace closer to 5.5

RIght. With that combo you need to stick with a 33x12.50 (305/65-17).

Yeah, it will look fine. However, I think if you go with an 18 inch wheel you will have a wider selection of 33 inch tires (325/60-18's).

Yeah, a lot of times local shops can't possibly know what fits every vehicle. That's why this site is great. Members here have run or tried to run just about every possible combination.

I hear you on that, and I get that on the phone all the time from people who are tired of dealing with sales guys that just want to make the call. I'm not on here just to make sales, but to help out the best I can and spend time with the customer to make sure they get exactly what they want and need.

Please feel free to call me when you're ready to order up your wheels and I'll make sure you get exactly what you need.
