You may find this hard to believe but a friend of mine has an 04 4WD XL with the same Hankook tires my 08 XL 2WD came with and he has 70,000 on his with a decent amount of tread left. Granted most all of his driving is highway and he keeps them rotated and drives like Grandpa. I hear lots of good things about them.

I got them on my 2008 xl 4x4. I looked them up on tirerack.com review. Doesn't look good. I've only got 700 miles on my new truck.
Here's a link

Anybody else?

35,000 and counting, can't wait till there gone but I'm too cheap to replace a "good" tire.

Well....maybe they're not so good after all. I only have 1800 miles on mine so time will tell I guess.

I'm with you. I bought an XL to be practical. Those tires work just fine and do what they were intended to. I'll get new tires when these stop working. Then I'll get whatever the cheapest tire is that I can find. Probably a set of Kumho. I'm not changing out the wheels either. Other than aesthetics, is there a really good reason to ditch my OEM wheels for expensive aftermarket?

My xl now has a cd player, front tow hooks and a set of factory aluminum wheels in the garage. Should have just spent the extra $ for the xlt.

You cant beat these XL's for the money. I upgraded my wheels just to dress it up a bit. Tinted my windows as well. CD player is next on the list. Other than that I probably wont do much else. If you are happy with those factory wheels there is no need to change them. One nice thing is, they are easy to clean.

How did you reinstall the TPMS on your new rims?

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Your vehicle is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system that requires a sensor to be installed in the tire and wheel assembly for proper operation.

The original sensors from your original wheels can be used or you may purchase sensors from Tire Rack.
Your system includes:

315MHZ TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR
$220.00 for a quantity of 4

BAND14/26IN
$63.96 for a quantity of 4

BANDCRADLE
$39.92 for a quantity of 4

Total Price: $323.88

Additional Information

If you purchase a Tire & Wheel Package when you buy new sensors, the sensors will be installed on the wheels at no additional charge. Otherwise, you will have to arrange for installation by a trained technician after your new wheels are shipped to you. Tire Rack's Recommended Installers are available to help you with your installation needs and can be selected by ZIP Code in the shopping cart.

Once installed, you will need to read your vehicle's owner's manual to review the proper procedure for allowing your vehicle to "recognize" the new sensors.

I just hit 10k and have yet to rotate. The tires are still in perfect shape. I wont change them until I have to. I'm also going to buy a set of nice winter tires with an additional set of xl rims. Since I'll only be using the stock tires 8 month out of the year I'm sure they'll last a while.

As a matter of fact, I can sell you my entire coil over strut with the coil spring spacer. Then all that you'll have to do is bolt it on and you've got plenty of room for bigger tires.
