Wheels
#31
Alright right now im looking at 305/55/20 Nitto TG's on XD Monsters.
If going with the 18" wheel, the only tire I like is the Toyo Mts. But not sure how they are gonna be for everyday use. Road noise/rain/etc. Fuel MPG, vs the Nittos AT. Wont be off-roading any.
So any way I was at Discount Tire today and the sales guy calls to see if he can get the monsters in a 20x9 because his computer didnt show that he could.
Whoever he talked to said yeah they were available and that I would need a +35 Offset. So sales guy precedes to tell me that the outside of the wheel will be inline with the trim around the wheel well on the outside of truck and that the rear will be staggered from the front.
Looking around the internet I found that the Monsters come in
-12mm
+18mm
+35mm
with backspacing
4.53
5.71
6.38
I dont know how accurate this is as it didnt come direct from KMC
Isnt the +35 gonna send the wheel right to the outside of the truck like
what I was trying to avoid. Seems like most people here have been doing the +18 and whats up with the staggered look that hes talking about?
Thanks

The 305's are approximately 12.50 inch wide tires. There is gonna be a little difference from tire brand to brand. The combo you want is gonna sit almost identically to Hill2107's truck, except your tires will be about 2 inches shorter than his 35's. If your OEM tires are 275's, that means a 305 is gonna be 30mm wider. Therefor just the tire is gonna add 15mm of width.
