Wheels

The look you are referring to is "deep dished". It's caused by a combination of a wide wheel and shallow backspacing. However, the 04-08 trucks use a lot of backspacing. The oem wheels have 5.5 inches of bs. I believe some of the Moto Metal wheels are available in 20x10 with 4.5 inches of bs, which will give you this look. The bad part is this will mean the wheel will stick out 3.5 inches farther than you oem wheels which will cause tire size limitations and cause the tires to sling mud, water, etc. down the side of your truck. You will be able to fit 305/55-20's (33x12.50's) using this wheel spec, but you may have to do some minor trimming.

Wendell thanks,
Look at the grey truck in my gallery, with the picture that is shot down the side of the truck.

That is about the most I want to go sticking out beyond the wheel well.
Can I get a "deep dish" wheel with this kind of look?

The gray truck with the black KMC Monsters? I don't think you are gonna find a deep dished looking wheel that will tuck in that closly. Most truck owners love deep dished wheels, but your truck uses a lot of backspacing. I'd suggest looking for a wheel that doesn't depend on the deep dished look to look good. Those Monsters are a great example.

Yeah the problem with that though is that BFG is the only one that I came across that has a tire for a 18inch wheel. If I could find a tire size like the 305/55/20 only in a 18 I would jump on it...other than the BFG's

Alright right now im looking at 305/55/20 Nitto TG's on XD Monsters.
If going with the 18" wheel, the only tire I like is the Toyo Mts. But not sure how they are gonna be for everyday use. Road noise/rain/etc. Fuel MPG, vs the Nittos AT. Wont be off-roading any.
So any way I was at Discount Tire today and the sales guy calls to see if he can get the monsters in a 20x9 because his computer didnt show that he could.
Whoever he talked to said yeah they were available and that I would need a +35 Offset. So sales guy precedes to tell me that the outside of the wheel will be inline with the trim around the wheel well on the outside of truck and that the rear will be staggered from the front.
Looking around the internet I found that the Monsters come in
-12mm
+18mm
+35mm
with backspacing
4.53
5.71
6.38
I dont know how accurate this is as it didnt come direct from KMC
Isnt the +35 gonna send the wheel right to the outside of the truck like
what I was trying to avoid. Seems like most people here have been doing the +18 and whats up with the staggered look that hes talking about?
Thanks

2. And the wheel will look deeper with a +18 than a +35 right?
3. Do you think I would rub with the +35 wheels?
4. Whats this staggered thing he talked about, where the back is gonna stick out farther than the front.
Thanks
