Big difference? 285s to 295s

my bfg's i bought used and are about done. i was looking at the nitto terra grapplers but only have em in 295/70/17 opposed to the 285 i have now. will i feel or see much of a difference? theyll be fine without torsion bar crank correct? they are only about .6 taller i believe and .4 wider. thanks

I don't think you will have any rubbing with 295/70-17's if you use the oem wheels.

Nitto does offer 285s as well as 295s. The best place to buy 295s are on ebay from Discount Tire. They have a 5% off sale here and there and are like $701.XX with free shipping. Thats a really good deal if you ask me. I should get them just cause theyre that cheap and the size I want. BUT, Im not fond of not have white letters and plus those KM2s are bad ***! I want more traction as well. Just my thoughts...

Folmar where did you find the 295 nittos for $701? I looked on ebay and the cheapest I found was 752 from discount tire.

w/ a torsion bar crank and the oem wheels, you could fit up to a 305-70-17. you should be fine w/ the 295. personally, i would go w/ the 285 b/c i prefer a larger wheel well opening, but that's just my opinion.

if you've got the 5.4 and you already have 285's. you should be fine. I went from the 255's to the 295's with a 4.6 and it was certainly noticeable, but i cruise the town with o/d off and with the tune from vmp, the truck still feels very driveable. i think you'll be fine power wise
