What wheels and backspacing for 06 f150 4wd

I have been reading past threads on backspacing issues. So I wanted the moto metal 951 in chrome but have read about the backspacing issue. With the 4.5 it sticks really far out. I have the 2 inch autospring level kit and want to go with a 17 or 18 inch wheel with a 33 inch tire. The wheels have to be chrome. Any suggestions on style of wheel with a closer backspace of 5 -5.5? Thanks

What is the factory backspacing on the xlt 17 inch wheels? With the moto metal 17x9 or 18x9 that will stick out approximately 2.5 inchs than stock?

The oem wheels have 5.5 inches of bs. I believe the moto metal wheels are available with 4.5, 5.7 and 6.1 inches of bs. I'd go with the ones with 5.7 inches of bs.

The model with 6.1 inches of bs doesn't have much of a lip. The model with 5.7 seems to have a pretty nice lip on it, not as much as the model with 4.5 inches of bs, but still enough to look good.

A lot of members have the model with 4.5 inches. I know 1 or 2 have the model with 6.1 inches of bs but I can't think of a member off the top of my head with 5.7 inches.

What are some known wheels that fit well as far as not sticking out of the wheelwell. Also when they say offset what does that mean?

A 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of bs is probably the most common for your truck. That would mean the wheel would stick out 2 inches more than the oem wheels. Offset is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel (where it bolts to the hub) to the center of the wheel. It's just another way of measuring the same thing. Backspacing is just much easier to understand.

A 9 inch wide wheel with 5.7 inches of bs is gonna stick out about 1.5 inches farther than the oem wheels.
