Polished or Chrome?
im looking at the american racing "baja" and it only is in polished now, they discontinued the chrome. will the polished look good even over time? shop guy told me chrome is alot less maintenance. so any input is cool, or if u have polished wheels let m know what u do to maintain them and how they look. thanks

If you live where you get snow in the winter and they salt the roads... Don't even consider chrome (unless you're going to take them off).
There's definately nothing wrong with polished wheels. They just take a little more effort to really look nice and shine. I've seen polished wheels that were neglected for 2 years (through 2 midwest winters) and after a some steel wool, WD40, polish, wax, and some elbow grease they looked brand new.

i live in new jersey so once in awhile well have salt on the roads. i was planning on having my nice polished wheels on my 285s and then my stock wheels and 265s sitting in garage and ill switch them for winter months if the salt will mess up the polished. thanks for the replies though. just there are so many wheels out there that are polished, if they are that bad why do people still buy them? right?

if you get the polished rims you won't have to worry about taking them off every winter. and unless the rims you want have alota nooks and crannies, cleaning them and keeping them polished shouldnt be a huge deal. just do it every time you wash your truck. and like mudterrain said, if you get chrome you'll have to worry about rust since you live up north, and that seems like a much bigger problem than havin to use a little bit of elbow greese every know and then
