Need brake pads with less dust

My front brakes make sooo much dust compared to the rears, will ceramic pads create less brake dust?

I hate cleaning my wheels all the time.

Try Akebono ceramic pads. I bought mine from rockauto.com

These have really low dust and perform well. I've put 35 - 40K miles on mine so far without an issue.

I like the Wagner ThermoQuiets I put on my truck at 11,000 miles because of excessive dust. Have 62,000 on them and still have more than 50% pad. They are high quality semi-metallic rather than ceramic.

Carquest blue's are another semi-metallic that some here like. Some semi-metalics will create dust just like your factory pads, so don't think any brand semi-metalics will solve your dust problem. But they do offer great braking performance.

I just recently put these On my 97 SCAB and have noticed a considerably less amount of brake dust.

My buddy has ceramic pads on his truck and he says that they produce less dust but under heavy braking they tend to fade just a bit, maybe because they don't dissapate heat as well.

My Wagners do not fade. I think about the longest I have gone between washes is 3 weeks and there was road irt, but no brake dust. With the factory pads, I would have to wipe off the front wheels every 3 days.

That is what I have always heard and why I chose high quality semi-metallic. I have not been disappointed. I have about 62,000 on them, very little dust and about half the pad remaining. They stop great and have not warpped the rotors. I would not run anything but Wagner ThermoQuiet or Car Quest Blues, but that is just my exoerience.

Where do you get the Wagner ThermoQuiet?
Any body know the pricing on either the wagner or carquest pads?
And did you do just the fronts or the backs too?

Get some Wagner Thermo-queits, you'll be gald you did. I put some on about 2 months ago, and probably washed the wheels twice. As far as a brake pad producing no dust.....thats bull. All brake pads ceramic or semi-metallic are gonna produce some dust. As far as the Wagners they produce very little dust at all. I got mine from O'Riely's for about $90 bucks, you can probably find them cheaper if you search for awhile. Good luck with your choice.
