Rim offset? backspacing??

hey quick question..

i have 35 12.50s w/ a 2.5 leveling kit on my 04 fx4 sc

im about to purchase some rims ( 18x9) in BLACK

out of these two what offset will keep the tire and rim from sticking out.. i want them to stay as OEM as possible.

KMC Hoss 18x9 Procomp 18x9 black powder coated
bs: 5.47 bs: 5.0
offset: -44m offset: 0

thanks guys,
( what is the offset? and the backspacing? so ill understand how to determine for myself in thefuture thanks..

Go with the 5.47 bs. The other will stick out a lot futher than factory and doubt you could fit 35's without a lift. It will be tight with the 5.47 backspacing.

thanks,, what is the offset thouggh -44mm ??? will this make them stick out further?

from 0 to -44mm seems to be a big diff in the two rims

A 9 inch wide wheel with 5.47 inches of bs is gonna stick out about 1.5 inches farther than the oem wheels. You are gonna need some more lift to fit 35's using either of those wheels.

thanks wan.. now i went to another website and their saying the BS on the XD Hoss is like 6.13 with -44mm offset.. what is up with this?

what rim can i fit with out need a lift. a 18x8 rim would seem far and beyond to find

you dont think i could fit the XD Hoss with just maybe minor trimming of the plastiic in front ??

No, I don't. You need to find something like an 18x8 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of bs. A lot of the KMC wheels are available in different bs. The 18x9 with 6.1 inches of bs may work with some major trimming, but I don't know for sure.

Look at American Racing's website, they have some 18x8.5 wheels with 5.5 inches of BS. I had to put my 35's on 17x8 wheels with 5.5 inches of backspacing to clear in the front. These are as close to stock specs as you can get. The more you come out with the wheel and tire assy. in the front, the more clearance issues you will have unless you have a full suspension or a body lift.
