Looking for a good tire

need new tires now but kinda on a budget. i need (4) 305/70r16 or equivalent tires for 750USD shipped.

what are some good dependable tires that are a good price. i need at least an aggressive all terrain as far as tread pattern goes. who knows of some cheaper reliable tires?

I agree the maxxis buckshot mudders are in that price range and they look killer in 305/70/16.

thanks guys. any other suggestions? i have seen the buckshot mudders and they do look good.

i dont have to have an AT tire. i was just saying i need at least an aggressive all terrain. i know some tire companies say they have an AT tire but it looks like a street tire.

The Kuhmo MT's are getting great reviews. Several members with lifted SD's at FTW are running them and love 'em.

Check out Dakota Definite Tires. I have them on my truck and have had them on all of my previously owned 4x4s over the years. I never had a problem with them off roading or in the snow. They also ride quiet and smooth on the roads and the best part is they are very reasonably priced.

Anyone know who builds those tires for pepboys? It looks like one of the older Cooper A/T tread designs with a little BFG A/T thrown in the middle. Lots of siping though so it looks like it oughta be a decent winter tire.

They used to be made by Futura. I am not sure exactly what major company makes them. They are excellent in the snow and off road situations. Great on road ride as well. In my opinion they are the best tire for the price I paid 129 a tire when they were on sale for ones to fit my stock 17's on my 2001. I had them for a year and a half now and about 15000 and still have like new tread.

I hear that the Kumho is a good tire.

I'm presently running Goodyear Wrangler.

But a Ford truck should have Firestone.

try the pathfinder at at discounttire.com They are a good looking tire and I have had them through some tough Texas red clay and brown gumbo soup and they clean out well for an all terrain. I also will get probably 60k out of this set i have on now. They are like $179.00 a tire for a 33x12.50
