For those with Cooper STT's...

did you have any problems with getting them balanced? Seems to be about the only complaint people are having with them

I want a set so bad, but don't want to have to worry about another cupped tire... talk about annoying

Getting them balanced shouldn't be a problem. It's an aggressive M/T so it's gonna take quite a bit of weight especially if you're running a big tire.

Keep em rotated and you should be fine. A friend of mine had about 30,000 on a set on his 1/2-ton Dodge (until he traded it a few months ago). They were wearing nice and even with no cupping. Tread wear was down to about 50-55% left at 30k. This was with rotation every 5000 miles.

thats why I want them so bad... I havent read of anyone getting less than 30K to a set... and for an aggressive MT that is impressive (at least to me)

I realize they will have to be weighted up, but just making sure its not a given factor for them

I didn't have any problems with balancing, and they suprisingly didn't take too much weight to balance either. I have 315/75r16's (35x12.50x16) and don't have any vibrations till about 65+ mph, and I rarely end up going that fast. I havn't gone past 65 though, but I can bet if i pushed it past 70-75 the vibration would go away.

At the tire shop here in my home town they sell these tires. A friend of mine rotates them regularly and has them filled with nitrogen and has 36000 mile on his.

p.s. Nice truck Slow, nothing looks better than ever so slightly modded
