Nitto Dune Grapplers?

Does anyone have any experience with the Nitto Dune Grappler tires?

I was considering buying a set in the 33x12.5x17 range for my '96 F150.

I don't do too much off-roading in the truck, that's reserved for the '95 Wrangler, so it'll mainly be used for street driving.

I've never used them, but i would guess that judging by their tread pattern, and lack of popular use, that they are loud and wear quickly, but they do look sweet!

Edit The review i read said that they were in fact not loud, but that they did wear quickly. It also said that they performed poorly in mud and rocks, but great in sand.

They are the SECOND FAILED attempt at an Allterrain tire.

The tires wear rather quickly for an AT

The tires are also no siped so these tires arent gonna be very stable in snow or water.

Theres MUCH better choices out there

The reviews I've read say they work well in sand and on the street. I've only seen one set in person and personally I think they are weird looking. The Terra Grappler is a much better choice.

I had a set of them on my wifes truck but I took them off when I lifted it. I put about 600 miles on them and now they are sitting in the garage with certs. From what I found they were quiet on the street and worked well at the beach but in any type of mud they were crap. I'm not sure on the wear due to the lack of miles I put on them.
