Max Tire Size on 2004 2WD STX Reg Cab

Currently run 265/70/17 BFG AT T/A KO, stock rims, and a 2.5 AS lift. Its about time for new tires, and was wondering how big I could go without problems?

You should be safe with 285/70/17.

If you keep those oem wheels, you can easily fit a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) or a 305/65-17 (33x12.50).

Definitely staying with the OEM wheels. Doing a quick scan of the net, it looks like there would be less choices in the 305. Might have to go with the 285.

He has a 4x2, so it sits 2 inches lower than your 4x4.

Banks Monster. You can sort of see the SS canister peaking out from the side of the truck just under the front bed steps.

Really like how those tires look on the STX. I have an STX myself and want to get new wheels/tires. Just too poor right now. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks. They make 'em to fit reg cabs. It bolted right up. Sounds as good as it looks. A little droning at certain rpm/speeds, but its tolerable. You are correct its a 4.6, they only made V8's in 2004.
