quick question

quick question

truck came with stock size of 255/70-17, i went up to 265/70-17, and now i want to go up to 285/70-17. do i need to get truck flashed for that much of a jump in size?? and also can i go with 305/70-17 on stock rim with 2.5 leveling kit if i decide to?? thanks for any replies--oh yeah 2006 f150 xlt with 2.5 HBS,3.73,5.4,4x4,etc.

alot run the 285s including myself. i dont believe that its a big deal. and to the leveling kit question you can do a 2.5" level and you can run 35x12.5 on stock wheels if you want to

correct me if i'm wrong , but 285's are the same as 33's, right?--also,my bad wording, i already have the 2.5 leveling kit

Yes, thos are a 33 inch tall tire. You don't have to get your computer recalibrated but it's a good ideal.
