Wheel alignment question

Hi Guys,

I just received my new wheels and tires (mounted and balanced) from onlinetires.com. I put on a 2.5in AS leveling kit, not thinking that I would have to re align the wheels, I went ahead and put on my new wheels and tires (18x9 XD Rockstars blk, 305/65R18 BFG AT) last night. I've been trying to find a shop that will align my wheels, but noone will touch them with the black paint. I could always take my wheels back off and put the old ones back on for aligning, but is there any way around this? Would it be truly aligned w/ the new wheels and tires??

Thanks!

Wheels and tires are not going to make a difference for alignment. The 2.5" AS does.

the issue might lie with the alignment equipment.... some machines are not able to attach to certain aftermarket wheels, based on the lip style of the wheels. anytime i have to get an alignment, i deal with the same issue, so i always put the stockers in the bed of the truck, and let the shop switch them over. once the truck is on the rack, it only takes and extra few minutes to cheange them.

alot of places wont do aftermarket wheels for a liability issue

But yes stock wheels vs aftermarket will not change the alignment angles....

Thanks guys! I guess I'll throw the stocks in the truck and have them align w/ the old wheels, and replace afterward to avoid any mishaps with my aftermarket wheels.
