Replacing My Brakes ?

Hey Everyone,

I have my new Brembo slotted rotors and Hawk LTS Pads coming on the 1st. I was wondering if there is any tips/tricks or things to look out for when I do this. This is for a 1999 F-150 4x4 4.6l. Any information from other members experiences would be great.

ifr your new pads do not come with new shims and rubber seal for the bolts go to autozone and pick up a kit and orange gasket maker I like to use it to prevent squealing instead of the other stuff. it is thicker and easier to work with

hey everyone,

I have one last question. I have the haynes manual for my truck and it states to torque the caliper retaining bracket to 1xx foot pounds. To everyone that completed rotor and pad changes did you utilize a torque wrench or did you torque the bolts by feel?

I torque the bolts by feel. Make sure you clean the hub real and other contact areas good with a wire brush.
