Thanks to Kruse, I now have a good idea what my truck will look like "murdered out". I got prices on the whole she-bang, and it looks like I can have the bumpers, nerf bars, and wheels sand blasted and powder coated for around $650. I'm definitely getting the bumpers done, but I'm still on the fence about the wheels.

did you usephotoshop to create the blackened pic? i would try one with all black except the wheels to see how that looks. i personally like the all black truck, but the wheels might need to have some contrast if it was mine. maybe try the wheel color with a black chrome effect?

 

Krusedisc, did the PS. I wouldn't know where to start with that program, and he's done so much work for me, I don't have the heart to ask for more.

Yea...I was thinking about leaving the center cap and lugs chrome maybe, and that would be all.

I'd say go for it, that photoshop picture looks awesome, and your truck will look even better if it's actually done!!!

 

Do everything but the wheels, see how that turns out, and then do the wheels if you feel you need to.

I would definitely do the bumpers no matter what.

Yea...I think you're right. Just finding the money to do it will be the issue right now....freakin' gas!! The first pieces I'm having done will be the bumpers and nerf bars. That'll do two things. One, it'll allow me to do just a little at a time because money's tight, and two, it'll allow me to see what it will look like blacked out except for the wheels.

Either way, I know I won't be happy with my truck until it's officially "murdered out" after seeing the PSed pic. Kruse, you're an evil, evil monkey!

 

i like th murdered look... my truck is a mix.. black and chrome, i have the blacked out windows and lights but i kinda like the silver trim on the botttom of the truck. so my advice is do what you think is right for YOU. dont do it because you think it will look good to other people.. its your truck bro

 

I was never a fan of totally blacked out badges. Otherwise, go for it!
