Hi guys,

I finally received my center cap screws today, and couldn't wait to get them on. Let me know what you guys think?

Looks good man, but then again, im a bit partail to the Rockstars. The black and red is good lookin combo.

If I can recommend a possible mod for your center caps. Since the 18" Rockstars (which is what I have and im pretty sure you have) dont give much area for the center cap to sit into, you have probably noticed that the star is sticking out kinda far? Maybe you have, maybe not. But I did on mine. So I cut the four posts (were the allen bolts go throught ) on each one down 1 1/4" and then cut the bolts down. That gets rid of the gap between the center and the wheel itself and IMO looks much better. Of course you may love it the way it is, but that was the first thing I did when I got mine a few months back. If you want me to post some pics of what I did and how they look now, just let me know.

Back to the topic at hand...THEY LOOK GREAT. GOOD CHOICE!!!

Thanks for the complements guys!

Kruse,

I did notice that the center caps stick out awefully far. Send me the pictures on how you cut yours down, and I'm going to do the same. Thanks again!

Your truck is what I'm trying to get mine to look like!
Where did you get the wheels and tires and how much...if you don't mind me asking!

Ditto on the center caps....looks awful without the mod. I cut mind down 1" and it looks much better. I got a machine shop to cut them down for free(friend of a friend kinda deal) and went to a bolt/screw company and spent all of $10 on the new bolts.

yeah, so about the center caps...its a MUST or you look like your something outta Spy Hunter and you're able to pop the tires of other vehicles with your evil protruding stars.

Anyway, its super simple to do on your own since the plastic you're cutting is quite soft and easy to cut. I did mine and was sloppy and they turned out GREAT. The only tools i used were a sharpie, hacksaw and sawzall. I believe I took and 1 1/4" off my mounting posts...but you'll be able to see in the pictures what I did.

As you can see, theses have already been done

Note: The measurement is from the bottom of the post and is taken before the "flared" part

After cutting the bolts...buying new ones will work, but I had the tools so I cut em off. As you can see they arent the exact same length but that makes no differnance.

Heres some measurements of two different end results in case you buy or cut them...both work fine in the end!

A measurement of how much i cut off the bolt

I just sanded them off quick after cutting so they were even

WHOA...those wheels are dirty...anyway...you can see they sit in much better and show off the wheels more.
