Rotating Tires

whats the best way to rotate my tires now that i can do it on my own? Thanks

4 Jack Stands under the frame in front, and on the rear end in back. and a 2 - 3 ton jack.

i have all that stuff and know how to do that im just wondering whats the best way by like which tire where and that

I always thought it was the front tires roll straight back to the rear. And the rear tires switch sides and then go up front. Well tires that aren't directional anyway.

i saw a diagram that said thats how it was for 4x4 so i guess ill be doing it that way.

You can do either front to rear or X. You just can not use the X pattern if the tires are directional.

primary drive tires go strait. free wheeling ones cross. ford recomends this for front and rear wheel drive.

Fronts to back, backs to front. I dont like doing the X switch.

I worked at a tire shop for a couple of years when I was in my 20's and we only ever did front to back and back to front for directional tires and non-directional tires. I asked the owner of the shop at the time why because I seen owners manuals that did the X rotation. He said that some non-directional tires didn't react well to having their direction changed. Some will vibrate and others suffered tread separation. His 40+ years of experience in the tire industry was enough for me.
