Looks like they stick out just a little bit past the fenders and I am NOT a fan of that....is it like that on your truck also??

What did you do about the 305/40/23 tires being taller than stock? correct the speedo?
You can have the speedo corrected but I don't think its off enough to worry. Do a quick search. I have a topic lying around here somewhere about this.

yea, they stick out a little. they are freaking 23x10 ! with 305 tires on them...and the offset is aggressive. i think they will look perfect when i get some oem (or oem like) fender flares.

as far as the speedo goes, i do want to get it fixed. if your coming from factory 17's like me, it's off by quite a bit. if you have stock 20's...it's not so bad. either way, i sure wouldnt make that a reason not to get them.

who cares if the speedo is off? just use a portable gps to get a speed, then you know how off you are.

Your off by maybe 2-3 MPH thats it? I have 24's with 305/35's and even with my edge im still 2MPH off no matter what i try. BTW those new pics look good and is that the turnpike by the fort pierce exit?

I think that is what's going to cause me not to get them... I won't be using fender flares so the sticking out a little bit would bug me too much.

I don't care if the speedo is off, I'm more concerned about adding ghost miles to the truck

I have factory 20's stock. I'm also concerned about adding ghost miles to my truck but from my understanding, in my situation (stock 20 to saleen 23) my mileage is going to read less than what I actually have on the truck. I also will not be using fender flares, to be honest I don't know what they are.

for every 1 rotation your 23's spin, you are moving more than 1 rotation of a smaller size wheel/tire combo. therefore, you're odometer will register less than the actual distance traveled.

so in essence, i'm subtracting these "ghost miles" you speak of.

Hey pmason718 can you post some pics of your truck when you get the wheels on? I have mine at powder coat now but I won't put them on until April or May since we are under snow here in Minnesota. Lookin forward to seeing them.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm in NYC and I haven't put my wheels on yet b/c of the upcoming winter. Honestly I haven't even bought my tires, center caps, lugs, tire sensors, tire sensors bands or had them powder coated yet. The only thing I have is a photoshop pic of what I want it to look like.

Funny, I was on ebay yesterday and I saw your wheels on there for sale.
Wish you had them for sale a month ago, I bought a set and they are at powder coat getting a satin black paint job as we speak. Thanks for the inspiration

It was probably the same guy I bought my Saleen rear facia from off ebay. It took about two weeks to ship it but I finally got it.

jhogan, I have an '05 with the same body and paintstyle as you. How do you think the black with red lip would look like on our trucks? I was previously looking to buy a set of these rims and powdercoat them black with a gold/champagne lip, but since josh already has the lip and coat that's one less step. Would I need a red pinstripe or accent stripes, lol? I'm leaning towards getting my own set done...
