Question Want cool rims.. but afraid theylll get jacked. Advice?

I wanna get some cool lookin rims for my truck, Not fancy chrome, but maybe some big black or scratched aluminum looking. BUT, im afraid of waking up at a hotel, walkin outside , and seein my rig up on cinder blocks, tireless. Some low life, crackhead jacked my tires and pawned em.

What is the reality of this happening?

Depends. Where do you live? What size are you gonna put on there?
Heard of wheel locks?
Heard of an alarm?
Heard of insurance?
Shotgun??

Yep, depends on where you live. You just try to take precautions with wheel locks, a large caliber handgun and insurance.

I live in south florida.. yeah. ...

have insurance, no alarm, do wheel locks work or are there univerals keys? im clueless - thats whi I made this thread.

as for the gun.. its better that i dont own a gun cuz man, as much as stuff costs these days, if I see some monkeys messin with my truck, id be all too eager to shoot the f*ckers in the leg. wound but not kill, but even then you end up in deep sch*t

Buy them and put them in a safe.

Or if you want them on your truck go with wheel locks.

Ever consider that you shoot, you miss, and that bullet goes into your truck?

What's the deal, do you spend a lot of time in hotels? Just buy them and put some wheel locks on them and then enjoy. No point in worrying about it, besides, if they wanted the wheels they would probably take the whole truck.

get some locking nuts, that should eliminate your problems.

Or, the only way that i know is 100% guaranteed to have your wheels when you wake up...

Remove them every night and put your own truck up on blocks. Put them in your room right next to you.

Locking wheel nuts and a car alarm with a pager to let you know when it has been set off, since everyone that sees it going off will just watch them steal your sh*t. Thieves should be killed!

locking lug nuts are good in most cases just be careful which ones you pick out. i worked at a tire store for a few years and you would not believe how often people loose the keys or the ownders have done work themselves and striped them off and sometimes are impossible to get off without a hours work. In most cases its not hard to get them off though. Probably dont have to worry though, anyone smart enough to drive a ford is smart enough not to do anything dumb like that
i am fortunate enough to not have to worry about that kind of stuff where i live, but if they want them bad enough they will find a way to get them i guess. all of the precautions listed will definetly help make sure your wheels stay on your truck
