295/75/16 Question. 97-03

I just got some Bilstein shocks I'm going to throw on my 2000 4x4 and figured it was time to do the tires as well as they are getting a little tired. I'm looking at the Nitto TG 295/75/16's. I do not want to crank my torsion bars at all and am concerned that they may rub. Also I tow a pretty heavy boat trailer from time to time and was wondering if the rear wheel well clearance would be an issue when under load? Would I be better off with getting the 285's or will the 295's be ok? Thanks guys.

They will fit if you use the oem wheels. However, the 295/75-16 is basically a 34x12.00 tire, so your gearing will be affected more than with 285/75-16's (33x11.50).
