08 FX4 supercrew newbie ???? about leveling kits and factory rims

Hey everyone , i have been reading the posts on here and i am more confused than ever, what i am woundering is if i put a level kit on this truck will 305/70/18 (AKA 35x12.5) rub with the factory backspacing or should i run 305/60/18 (33x12.5) I plan on a 2.5 to 3inch kit , and i may add a leaf. Also if you guys could post some pics of a factory 18s with the 33s and 35s so i can get a feel 4 what will look better , keeping in mind this truck gets worked VERY hard, i work in the oil patch and its my crew truck so its sees lots of mud , gravel roads u name it.
thanks in advance.......

you will be just fine with a 2.5 leveling kit running 35x12.5 on your stock 18s take a look at getting a Autospring kit, very afordable and strong... look at my truck for this set up

I would also check out the 285x65x18 (33") or the 305x65x18 (34") BFG all-terrains. These would give you a little more room for heavy off road use. Also in an area with lot's of hills and mountains I would almost stick to a 33" tire to avoid losing too much pulling power.

Don't go over 2.5 inches will a leveling kit or your ball joints will be too extreme. A 35x12.50 on your oem wheels will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock, but that's it. If you don't want any rubbing at all, go with something slightly smaller.

Well said Wandell. Yes 35x12.5 will fit on stock rims.

what tires would fit a 20x8.5 rim on the Mark LT? im about to do the 2.5 leveling kit from autosprings and will be running the stock tires and wheels but is there any tire that would fit those wheels that are a bit bigger than the 275/55r20 that the dealer had on there?

I would also look into a setup like what I just went to. 2.5" level kit with 275/70/18 on 18x9 XD Monsters and Nitto TG's. Check out my gallery for more pictures.

Different dealers look at it differently. My dealership is mod friendly. They actually installed my leveling kit. I even take them my truck with my tuner and they are cool about it. My Service Mgr has a F-150 modded out.

Just be sure to check with your local dealer and ask before doing anything.
