I Did some extra masking to 2-tone my stock 20's. I'll post some pics with them on the truck come spring.
No problem, man. Those look fantastic. You did an amazing job...can't wait to see them on the truck!

Did you do the center caps as well?

Still deciding about the caps. I may end up painting them as they are all out chrome, and may not match. I need to pop them off my winter tires and check it out. I sense taping off the ford logo on them could be a b*tch.

How did the logo masking go? I swear I spent just as much time taping the wheel as actually painting it. Haven't done the caps yet... was it a PITA?

You should just paint the logo and then get some overlays from Patriot. I think they are like $20 for the set.

Looks good, I did this a month or so ago.

I forgot to say thanks for the write-up as well.

No problem, man, glad to help. Those look sick! They look like aftermarket wheels---very nice on your truck, too. Make it look mean.

The end result looks good, but I'd have some concerns about painting them on the vehicle:

1) Already noted: Wheel weights and over-spray.
2) Lug nuts - the first time you remove a wheel, they will get all dinged up.
3) Center cap - if removed, and not placed exactly in the same place/orientation, you'll have bare metal showing?

I also like the 2-tone that Janos150 and Torquet did. I wonder what it would look like reversed.....

Andy

EDIT: Looking at Janos150's close-ups, maybe a reverse scheme wouldn't work.

1)I took my wheels and factory wheel weights off.
2)I always have an impact socket wrapped with a layer of electrical tape for use on wheels, not fool proof but helps out.

I actually drove around for a week without getting the tires balanced. I had less of a vibration then before. Then i had a set of used toyo 305/50R20's put on and the sticky wheel weights put on on the inner side of the wheel. I found a couple of scuffs after they swapped tires but I easily touched them up and you can't tell.

I really need to wet sand them when it warms up. I painted the backside of the wheel at the same time and it caused some ruffness around the spokes.

Thanks everyone!
