I need a recommendation on tires
Hey guys i recently acquired an 06 f150 supercab xlt 5.4 2WD, and am honestly rarely going to be off-road. I'm looking for a beefy off-road looking tire with the smoothest on-road quietness and feel. im going with an autospring 2.5" leveling kit, and wanting to go with a 285(or295)/60/18, with xd hoss black wheels...I really like the look of the nitto terra's, is there anything out there that might look similar, but maybe cheaper, or have better on-road sound/ride and tread length? i dont really care about off road performance, just love the look of it.
thanks

yes, yes, let me clarify myself...i know i dont want anything too beefy, as a mud terrain or the wrangler mtr look because of the low flying airplane sound when on the road....but the terra grappler is much more appealing to the eye than say the bfg rough trail or whatever is on it now...i just dont want street tires...
how does the terra grapp do against say a bfg t/a k/o?

I can only speak from experience on the noise levels of the Toyo MT, and they virtually make no noise at all. I will probably buy them for my next truck, since that is when they will be worn down. I haven't heard anyone complain about the noise from the BFG's either.

thanks...i have the factory chrome 18's on my truck right now, with BFG long trail AT 265/60/18's on them. would a 285/65/18 terra grappler work on my stock rims? they also make a 275/65/18 if the 285 would be too wide

I got a good deal on tires mounted and balanced at a local store... So I am getiing the on today .. Bridgestone Dueler A/T for $662.00 Mounted and balanced .. He said something about the alignment was a ain in the butt on 4x4's... Something about having to cut a in out and replace it with a bolt just to align it.
