meh, I don't think its too bad. I agree with Madmax though. I'd do what he said, and maybe make the "glossy-er" ??? Not sure if it would be better.... just an idea I guess.

Right now I have BFG Long Trail T/A 235/70/16. I'm looking to get a bigger tire, taller and wider across. So if I get 265/75/16, it will be bigger I know that, but won't it look "skinnier". I would rather get the widest tread possible, for looks.

I think i'm gonna still get a long trail because I like how they perform pretty good in almost all conditions, except offroad.

With the bigger tire I know I will lose some torque but enough to even feel or effect the speed that much?

Sorry guys I sound like a babbling idiot but I know nothing about tires or wheels.

i hated my long trails that came stock. IMO the BFG AT's do much better in rain than the LT's and not to shabby offroad

the 235 of the number is the width. so your tires now are 235mm wide. the 265's will obviously then be 265mm wide or 30 mm wider. the second number is a ratio so it will also be taller. they come out to about a 32*10.5" wide tire. You wont loose torque it will just take more to get the truck going and keep it going. I ran those tires on stock gears at stock height and didnt notice much of a difference, not enough to worry about atleast.

you cant go wrong with BFG ATs

you could put a leveling kit on the front to fit even bigger tires, but then you'd be movin backwards if you really wanna do the lowering thing

If you want a lifted truck, you can lift your 4x2 pretty inexpensively. You could run a 33 inch tire, like a 285/75-16 by just adding a body lift or a set of 3.5 inch lift spindles. They would also fit using your oem wheels with just a leveling kit (Daystar coil spring spacers).

If you can't afford the tires right now then loose the step. It will look lots better.
