Toyo vs. BFG

So I'm almost all saved up for the lift and now its down to which tires. I was pretty hell bent on BFGs, as i have their KMs on my truck now, but then i saw a superduty come into the shop with the Toyo MTs on them and i really liked how they look. My question is which tire should i go with for my application. Or perhaps is there something better out there for me? I will be running 35x12.50r16s. I do spend alot of time in thick mud and in steep rocky areas. BFG KM2s or Toyo Open Country MTs?

Both are excellent. The Toyo's will perform slightly better on pavement and the KM's slightly better offroad.

I would definately look at some other brands if you spend alot of time offroad. I have the Mickey Thompson MTZ. You could lok at the Nitto, Pro Comp, or similar application.

I have the Toyo's on my truck, 35's also and love the tires but I think if your going so spend alot of time in the mud there's better out there, I found this out last weekend. Mud really stuck in the tread of the tires and didnt come out to easy. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the help guys. I really wish i could still get ahold of the original BFG KMs. then it would be no question. But i guess the guys over there at BFG really know what they're doin and my KMs have never let me down.

aren't they still making the original Mt's? i have seen them on a few sites but with very few choices for size. if you look around you could possibly find a set

KM2's

I have a set of the KM2's and they are an excellent tire for mud and street. If you need a tire that will do both you will not be disappointed in the KM2's.
