need help on wheel/tire selections
I've decided that the Pirelli's on my 08 Screw FX4 have got to go. Their performance in the inch of snow we had this weekend was horrid.
Having said that I am looking at a set of Greg Weld Fugitive 402 wheels. They have two center cap designs
or
They come in 17" 18" and 20" diameters and 9" and 10" widths with 5.5 backspacing. I think that the 10" rims with 5.5 BS are going to stick out a ton which I don't want. Will the 9" with 5.5 BS be alright?
I am also torn on what tires to go with. I am a Fan of the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's but they are pretty limited with their size I could only get those in a 285/70/17 or a 305/70/17. The 305 would be 34" tall so would that require a 2.5" leveling kit or could one get by with a 2"?
I think I would like the look of the 20" wheel better but weight and mileage would probably be better with the 18" or 17". I'd like to stick to something between a 285 and a 305 width wise, unless suggested otherwise.
Basically I am pretty open to opinions on what to go with so bring them on!
